One Night With You Page 2
“Feels pretty damn good for me, too.” Tate scraped his teeth along Raine’s neck again. “Christ, you’re holding me tight.”
He hadn’t realized he’d been squeezing Tate’s dick. Raine slid one hand down his belly to his cock. “Fuck me,” he bit out. “Oh God.”
“You’re loud. I love it.” Tate worked his hips, moving his cock in and out. He started with slow thrusts and made Raine feel every bit of him.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck.” Raine arched his back again and matched Tate’s rhythm. Holy shit. He’d never last. The heat in his belly swirled through his body. He clawed at the wall with his free hand and panted.
“Raine.” Tate increased the speed of his pushes into Raine and caught him between his body and the wall. “I’m right there.”
Raine stroked himself faster and kept time with Tate. He’d never been so free with his body or so raw in his life. Asking someone into his apartment, let alone fucking them within the first hour of knowing them wasn’t his style. But if he could stay with Tate, then getting out of his comfort zone rocked. He shuddered and groaned. The climax overwhelmed him and pushed him right over the edge.
“Tate,” Raine whispered. His strokes turned feral and he couldn’t breathe. Cum splattered onto the wall and over his hand.
“Yeah.” The cadence of Tate’s thrusts fell apart as he moaned. He dug his fingers into Raine’s hip and tensed. His cock throbbed in Raine’s ass.
The thrill of the orgasm and knowing he’d made Tate come flowed within Raine. He smiled and sagged against the wall. He didn’t say a word as the floaty feeling settled in his brain.
Tate didn’t speak for a while, just held Raine. He rested his head on Raine’s shoulder. “Raine?”
“Right here.” He couldn’t go anywhere, even if he’d wanted to.
“You still want me to stay tonight?” Tate feathered a kiss over Raine’s earlobe and neck.
“I do.” He opened his eyes and turned his head enough to look at Tate. “I’m still shocked you’re here.”
“Why?” Tate eased out of Raine and let go of him. “You’re cute.”
“Thanks,” Raine said. “But you’re way out of my league. You should be with someone like Blake. Or one of his friends. You’re hot and like…crazy ripped. I’m plain.” When he turned around, Raine backed into the cum on the wall. The sticky mess slathered all over his ass. He winced. Damn it. Probably had jizz on his shirt, too.
Tate removed the used condom and tossed it into the waste bin, then hiked his pants up. He zipped, but didn’t fasten the button on his jeans. “First, you’re not so bad yourself. There’s nothing about you I’d call plain. Second, you must not know Blake’s friends, or even Blake, that well if you think I’m better suited for them. Trust me—I’m not. Third, we skipped over the getting to know each other part and went straight to fucking. How about another beer and conversation?”
He nodded. “You’re a little strange after sex.” But at least Tate still wanted something to do with him.
“How?” Tate strode up to Raine and helped tuck Raine’s dick back into his pants. He kept his hand beneath the waistband of Raine’s underwear a little longer than Raine expected and a new wave of sizzles hit Raine.
“Your transition—from oh God, fuck me hard to let’s talk—it’s just odd.” Raine shrugged out of his shirt. He wiped the jizz off of the wall, then tossed his shirt into the bathroom. He’d wash the cum from the fabric once Tate left. He doubted, once Tate got to know him, Tate would stick around.
Tate rested his hands on his hips. “Maybe that’s because the transition from meeting, to fucking, to talking has been a little strange.” He grasped Raine’s hand. “Sorry. I’m… I’ve got a lot on my plate.”
“Ah.” He nodded again. Christ, he seemed to be doing that a lot. “I’m so not good at this.”
Tate tugged Raine to the couch. “I’m not the best with dates, either. I know—this wasn’t a regular date.” He smiled and pulled Raine down to straddle his lap. “But I’m not ready to go home.” He toyed with Raine’s hair. “How is it that a handsome man like you, one who fucks very well, isn’t involved with someone?”
“It’s not hard to figure out.” He averted his gaze. “I’m too geeky for the sports people and not geeky enough for the intellectual set—they’ve both told me. I like comic books and discussing how the movies butcher the plot lines, talking about writing and reading—I love to read. I don’t really fit in anywhere.”
“You’re wrong. We fit together pretty damned well.” Tate cupped Raine’s chin and forced him to meet Tate’s gaze. “What’s your major?”
“Education.” This he could talk about, but when he looked into Tate’s eyes, he lost his gumption. “With a minor in creative writing.” His voice cracked and the tips of his ears burned. “I graduate this summer.”
Tate grinned. “That’s awesome. You’re going to teach?”
“At the college level. I’ll do some graduate assistant work in the creative writing classes while I get my master’s.” Raine tensed. His nipples beaded in the cool night air. “I like to write stories where I rewrite history. Like, what if President Lincoln hadn’t been shot or if President Roosevelt hadn’t died in office. Stuff like that.” Tate hadn’t asked him to explain his major or his writing, but the words tumbled out. He folded his hands in his lap. His last date hadn’t even asked if he was in college.
“That’s fascinating.” Tate brushed his nose against Raine’s and his warm breath feathered over Raine’s cheeks. “I’ve never dated a college guy.”
“I haven’t either,” Raine blurted.
“No?”
“Nuh-uh. My only boyfriend was in high school and it was on the down-low. The guys I’ve dated were part of Blake’s crowd.”
“Except me,” Tate said, his voice gravely. “Why Blake?”
Lord help him. Raine eased his fingers under the hem of Tate’s shirt. “Well, we had a class together a couple of years ago. As soon as I saw him, I thought he was beautiful. But everyone knows he’s pretty.”
“So does he.” Tate pinched Raine’s nipple. “I’ve known him since the seventh grade. He was pretty back then, too.”
He should’ve guessed. Guys like Blake were gifted—no matter what they did or how they got into trouble, they always looked good. He’d been gawky in junior high.
“What happened?” Tate asked. He tugged Raine closer and laced his fingers together at the small of Raine’s back.
“I tried talking to him. He listened as much as he needed to in order to get the homework assignments and to bum my macroeconomics book. I asked him out and he refused by saying I was handsome and sweet, but not his type. He kept talking about some military guy he liked. I don’t know who that guy was or is, but for a long time I wished I was him. I wanted to be in his circle. He’s dangerous and nothing I should have in my life, but once I moved across the hall, I’ve kept an eye on him.” He scrubbed his hand across his mouth. “Jesus, I sound like a stalker.”
Tate half shrugged. “He could use someone keeping tabs on him.”
“He’ll never finish school this way. The drugs, the guys… Someone said he was trading sex for money. I don’t know.” And he probably shouldn’t have brought that up. “Sorry.”
“No need to apologize. That bastard should be done with college by now. He’s twenty-five for Christ’s sake, and never really wanted to go to school. He’s probably still claiming student status so he can get out of a loan or something.” Tate sighed. “I’ve known him for far too long and don’t trust him. Neither should you. He’s cute, sure, but you can do a whole hell of a lot better.”
“Like you?” he whispered. Please God, let Tate say yes.
“Maybe.” Tate tugged Raine forward and kissed him. “You’ve got Blake on your mind right now, don’t you?”
He shook his head. Blake and every other man on the planet truly didn’t matter. “He’s not here and honestly, I don’t give a fuck about him.” He gathered his cour
age. If he didn’t go after what he wanted, he’d never accomplish anything. “Don’t need him when I want you in my bed.”
Chapter Three
“Bed.” Raine tugged Tate across the room to the bed and collapsed onto the mattress—his one luxury, a queen-sized bed—with Tate on top of him. Things needed to move slowly so he could savor the moment and the night with Tate. He bit Tate’s bottom lip. His nerve endings sizzled and his thoughts muddled. All he wanted to do was feel his lover against him. He slid his hands into Tate’s back pockets and cupped Tate’s ass.
“Damn.” Tate groaned. “You know how to get my attention.” He crushed his mouth down onto Raine’s, then sucked on Raine’s tongue.
Consumed, overwhelmed and needed—each word described the way he felt in Tate’s arms. Heat engulfed him and he gasped for breath. He never wanted the night to end.
“We’ll use up all of your condoms and lube.” Tate disengaged from Raine long enough to stand. He yanked his T-shirt over his head. With the garment out of the way, he flexed his chest.
Raine sat up and trailed his fingers over the tattoo over Tate’s heart. He knew the logo—the stylized wings and star for the Air Force. The man certainly loved his profession.
“Like that?” Tate closed his hand over Raine’s. “Got that done after I got my acceptance letter. I’m an airman to the core.”
Raine met Tate’s gaze. “Think you’d ever add to it?” He wasn’t sure why he’d asked the question, but the words popped out. “I like the ink, though—as is.” He hadn’t pegged Tate as a military kind of guy, but the more he thought about Tate in a uniform, the more he wanted to see Tate all dressed up.
Tate shoved his pants and boxers down to his ankles. “I never thought about it. Never had anything else I wanted to have inked onto my skin.” His eyes flashed. “Got a few ideas?”
“No.” He’d always wondered what his name in calligraphic letters on skin might look like, but the very thought of having any needles jabbed into his skin scared him. He scooted to the edge of the bed and curled his fingers around Tate’s cock. The man fulfilled every one of his fantasies—rugged, handsome and passionate. He stroked Tate, loving the way Tate’s eyes rolled back and he groaned again.
“You’ll make me come and I don’t want to yet.” Tate bowed his head and encircled Raine’s wrist with his fingers. “Want to kiss you and see you naked.” He fumbled out of his tangled-up clothing. “Off. You. Naked.”
Raine shivered. “I’m halfway there.” He leaned back on the bed and wriggled out of his jeans and boxer briefs. He lost his socks in the tangled legs of his pants and didn’t care. When Tate stretched out beside him nude, a fresh groan ripped from his throat.
“You’re hiding under those clothes. I like the way you look without ’em.” Tate peppered kisses over Raine’s cheek and eased his arm across Raine’s belly.
“Fuck me.” Raine coaxed Tate on top of him and grasped Tate’s ass again. “I need you inside me again.” He wanted to go slowly, but damn it, the need swarmed within him. He draped his legs around Tate’s waist.
“Got a thing for men in uniform?” Tate kissed Raine again. His cock slid along the seam of Raine’s ass, teasing him.
“Got a thing for you.” Raine reached for Tate.
Tate’s eyes sparkled. His nipples beaded and sweat glistened on his brow. The muscles in his chest bulged and the veins stood out on his arms. “Need a rubber and lube.” He stretched over Raine.
Raine swirled his tongue around Tate’s nipple. He refused to miss the opportunity to taste Tate. The salt of Tate’s perspiration slipped over his lips.
Tate chuckled and curled forward, nearly squashing Raine. “That tickles.”
“Good,” he said between licks. “Need you in me. You’re taking too long and I want this.” He encircled Tate’s dick with his fingers.
“So bad.” Tate sat back on his heels and tucked the bottle of lube beneath his arm. He tore the condom packet open, then sheathed himself. He dribbled the clear fluid over his dick, then onto his fingers.
Raine moaned as Tate caressed his asshole. “Holy Jesus.” Raine planted his heels and rocked his hips.
“Not so fast.” Tate lined his cock up with Raine’s hole, then pushed.
Still relaxed and open from the first round, Raine bore down on Tate and took him in. He blew out a long breath and met Tate’s gaze. A shudder from deep within him, surfaced.
“Nice.” Tate settled balls deep in Raine and paused. “You grip me so tight. Like we’re meant to be together.”
Maybe we are. Raine draped his arms around Tate’s neck and tugged him close.
Tate moved his hips, pulling out before he pushed back into Raine again. He punctuated each agonizingly slow thrust with a kiss to Raine’s lips. He folded Raine damn near in half, but Raine didn’t care.
Raine held onto his legs, granting Tate deeper access. Each push and stroke spurred him on. He met Tate thrust for thrust and kiss for kiss.
“Damn.” Tate swatted Raine’s ass and increased the speed of their lovemaking. His lips parted and his eyelids drooped.
Raine held on tightly and enjoyed the ride. This was more than fucking or getting each other off—the passion between him and Tate was real. Raine tweaked Tate’s nipple, only to be matched by Tate curling forward. He bit Raine’s pec.
“Tate,” he cried. He needed to come, but Tate wasn’t allowing him release. He should’ve cared, but no. He’d never experienced anything so sensual in his entire life.
Tate’s thrusts turned feral again. He reared up and dug his fingers into Raine’s thighs. The bed creaked and their grunts echoed in the room.
Raine kept his gaze on Tate’s. Heat surged through his limbs and his thoughts blurred. Nothing mattered besides being with Tate. The rest of the world seemed to melt away around them.
“Holy fuck. I’m coming.” Tate jammed his dick into Raine a few more times before collapsing against Raine’s chest. His breath fanned across Raine’s skin. “My knees are weak.”
“So are mine.” Raine opened his eyes. “Jesus, I need to come.”
“Fucking balls. I thought… I got so wrapped up in my orgasm, I forgot about yours.” Tate eased his dick from Raine’s tender ass, then removed the condom and chucked it into the trash bin. He sank onto the bed beside Raine and wrapped his fingers around Raine’s erection. With slow strokes, he urged Raine towards climax.
“So sexy. That’s right. Use me,” Tate murmured.
Raine bucked his hips and thrusted into Tate’s hand. So close. Just a few more pumps and he’d come. Everything within him tensed. He gritted his teeth and bunched the sheets in his hands. “Tate,” he bit out. “Fuck.”
“Come for me.” Tate flicked his tongue across the blunt head of Raine’s erection. “Do it.”
His restraint snapped. Between the wet heat of Tate’s mouth on him and the gentle coaxing, he couldn’t hold back. He dug his feet into the mattress and his balls tingled. A rope of cum shot across his belly, then another dribbled down his shaft.
“That’s so fucking hot,” Tate said. “I want to lick you.” Instead, he grabbed Raine’s shirt and wiped up the cum. He left the bed long enough to carry the shirt to the bathroom then returned and stretched out beside Raine. “Just…yeah.”
“I could sleep right now. I don’t want to—don’t want to miss a minute.” He rolled onto his side and cupped Tate’s cheek. “I barely know you and I’m falling for you. I’ve got to be crazy and super tired.”
“Not crazy. Sometimes this shit happens fast. You find stuff you like about a person and it happens…like you sleeping naked. That’s fucking awesome.” Tate wiped the sweat from his brow with the back of his and, then flattened his palm on Raine’s belly. “I can’t sleep that way right now, but I love it.”
“Why not?” He rested his head on the pillow and watched the tug and pull of muscle in Tate’s upper body. God, the man was handsome and ripped.
“I never said, did I?” Tate stretc
hed out beside Raine. “I’m in the Air Force. Sleeping nude is considered indecency. If there’s an emergency in the middle of the night, you’ve got to be decent.” He folded his arms behind his head and crossed his ankles beneath the sheets.
“Makes sense.” Raine draped his arm across Tate’s belly. “Where are you stationed?”
“McConnell in Wichita, Kansas. I was given leave.” Tate sighed. “Not my idea of fun.”
Raine stared at Tate. “Being in the Air Force or the leave? I’m confused.”
“The reason I came home.” He rolled onto his side and faced Raine. “Blake knows, but I doubt he remembers now.”
“Oh.” Realization swept over him. Holy shit. “You’re the guy Blake talked about. You’re the one he wanted to fuck, but…couldn’t.” Oh God. His stomach churned and he measured his breaths to keep the queasiness at bay. He sure hoped Tate hadn’t come over just to make Blake mad. He didn’t want to be used.
“That man wants to sleep with every single man in the county. He might have mentioned me, but I doubt he still wants to fuck me. He knows damn well I’d turn his ass down.”
“I thought maybe you’d come over here just to piss him off.” He pressed his lips together. He didn’t want to blurt anything else out.
“Honey, I hit the jackpot when I left that party. Blake’s a dead end and you’ve hit the spot. Hell, you’re more than I could’ve hoped for. Even after a few hours, I’m hooked on you.” Tate shook his head and a tear slipped down his cheek. “I need to talk some more. Are you a good listener?”
“I am.” He held Tate a little tighter. “I won’t go anywhere.” A shiver skated up his spine. He only knew the guys in the ROTC group and none of them were as stoic as Tate.
“Are you an only child?”
“Yeah. My parents wanted another kid, but my father developed stomach cancer and passed before they could.” He shrugged. “I miss him, but I was seven and I never really got attached to him. Sounds awful, but he was always gone—at work or at the hospital. Mom and I were close until she married Lawrence. He’s nice enough, I guess, but he doesn’t seem to like me. When I come home, he finds reasons to leave. I hear them talking at night. I don’t know. He never said it outright, but I think he doesn’t like that I’m gay.”
